outline
This NPO was established in 1991 as a voluntary organization to preserve the historical townscape of Sawara. We have been promoting the creation of a townscape preservation plan and preservation activities in Sawara.
As a result of the efforts of the public and private sectors, it was selected as an important traditional buildings preservation area of the country in 1996.
With this as an opportunity, we acquired an NPO corporation in 2004 and are engaged in various activities such as town development.
In 2006, we became the designated manager of the Sawara Townscape Exchange Center, and we are planning various events and exhibitions so that it will be a place for local exchange.
